Diamonds are Forever, Afghan and Pillow Pattern set

This month, Shady Lane Original Crochet Designs has given me a copy of her Diamonds are Forever ePattern to review and a second copy to giveaway to one of my readers!

Read my review for more details about this pattern, and don’t forget to enter here for a chance to win your own copy of the Diamonds are Forever Afghan and Pillow ePattern.

If you love crochet projects that are simple but look impressive, the Diamonds are Forever ePattern is a great choice. This pattern lets you create a textured afghan and matching pillow using easy stitches, making it perfect for home decor or a thoughtful gift.

The Diamonds are Forever ePattern includes six pages of written instructions and graphs to help you make a 63-inch x 45-inch afghan and a 12-inch x 12-inch pillow.

The design is made by working single crochet stitches in the back loop and adding double crochet stitches into the front loop of a stitch two rows below. This creates a beautiful, textured pattern that looks similar to Mosaic Knitting but uses crochet stitches instead. It’s a technique often seen in vintage Navajo Afghans.

This pattern only uses basic stitches—single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitches. As long as you can recognize the front and back loops of stitches, you can follow along. A beginner with patience and a little practice could make this project.

Carol has prepared a video to help you master the technique too. Watch the video here.
