The Yarn

This dishcloth is made with Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran in Grass Green. I love using cotton for dishcloths because it’s soft, durable, and easy to wash. The stitch definition looks great, and the texture works well for scrubbing without being rough on your hands.

For this Kitchen Dishcloth I used approximately yards ( meters) of Paintbox Aran Cotton yarn. This yarn is 100% cotton. Each 50 g ball contains approximately 93 yards (85 meters).

Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran comes in a wide range of bright, cheerful colors. It’s a soft, machine-washable cotton that’s perfect for dishcloths and other kitchen projects. The texture gives great stitch definition and holds up well with daily use and washing.

Check out all the bright colors this cotton yarn line includes here. I chose Grass Green (Color 630) for my Kitchen dishcloth project.

Notes:

  • Stitch multiple: 3
  • Turning ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
  • When I work into the foundation chain, I prefer working into the back bar (back bump) of the chain. Feel free to work in the back loop instead if you prefer.
  • To make this dishcloth longer, work more repeat rows by repeating R2.
  • To make this dishcloth wider, chain more stitches using the stitch multiple.
