This Halloween Witch Hat crochet pattern includes sizes from toddler to adult large, so you can make a perfectly fitted hat for everyone in the family.

These hats stretch approximately 1-inch.

12-24 months (toddler): 18 inches circumference X 9 inches height
3-5 years (small child): 19 inches circumference X 9.5 inches height
Child (6-10 years): 20 inches circumference X 10 inches height
Teen (adult small): 21 inches circumference X 10.75 inches height
Adult Medium: 22 inches circumference X 11.25 inches height
Adult Large: 23 inches circumference X 12 inches height

Gauge

Approximately 11 dc per 4 inches and 5 rows in double crochet per 3 inches.
Approximately 13 dc per 4 inches and 13 rows in single crochet per 4 inches.

This hat is crocheted using 2 strands of yarn held together.
You may substitute your favorite method for starting in rounds for the DMR (double magic ring) if you prefer.
Initial ch 2 does not count as a stitch and we do not work into it.
Sl st to join is made in the first st of the round (skipping over the ch 2).
Make your slip stitches tightly as we will not be working into them.
Work the first st of each round into the same stitch that has the slip stitch join and initial ch 2.
The first round of the Hat Brim is worked in the front loop only. The rounds following this first round are worked under both loops of each stitch.
If you’d like a shorter brim you can omit as many rounds as you’d like.
