Single Crochet Join Technique

- Place a slipknot on the crochet hook.
- Insert the hook into the stitch or chain space specified in the pattern instructions.
- Yarn over the hook.
- Pull up one loop. You have 2 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over the hook.
- Pull through the remaining 2 loops on the hook.
- Follow the pattern instructions. The photo example shows the joining single crochet stitch and 5 additional single crochet stitches.
Super simple right? and you can’t tell it is a joining stitch it looks like all the other single crochet stitches!
When I use this type of joining method, I swing the tail of the yarn behind the work and crochet over it as I go – so I don’t have any yarn ends to sew in afterwards.

This yarn-joining method is a game-changer for crocheters working in single crochet. Whether you’re creating amigurumi or other projects, this seamless technique will help you achieve a professional look every time. Try it out and let me know how it transforms your projects!
