* to ** – Repeat the instructions between the asterisks the number of times indicated. This repeat will contain multiple instructions.
[ ] – at the end of the row – the total number of stitches
( ) – important notes AND sets of stitches to be worked within one stitch, or space
Special Stitches
Cluster (CL)
Dc2tog worked into a single stitch.
(Yarn over, insert hook into indicated st, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook) 2 times in the same st, yarn over, pull through all 3 loops on hook.
When I work into the foundation chain, I prefer working into the back bar (back bump) of the chain. You can work under the back loop only if you prefer but it will change the finished look of the bracelet.
To make this bracelet longer, chain more stitches using the stitch multiple.
Push the CL to the front of your work (RS) before making the slip stitch that follows the cluster stitch.
Make your slip stitches tightly.
The pattern is written for a 7 inch bracelet. See the sizing chart in the sizes section above for the starting chain for other bracelet lengths.
Using your 2.75 mm (C) crochet hook (or size required for gauge):
R1: RS: Ch 43, sk the first 5 chs, 1 sl st in the next ch. *CL in the next ch, 1 sl st in each of the next 2 chs**. Work from * to ** across until you have 1 ch remaining. 1 sl st in the last ch. [12 CL, 26 sl st]
Proceed to finishing instructions.
Finishing Instructions:
Ch 1 to finish off and leave a 4 to 6 inch yarn tail.
Sew a bead securely to the end of R1 (make sure it fits through the loop created by skipping the first 5 chains in R1 before sewing it on!). This option allows you to open and close the bracelet to take it on and off.
Weave in your ends.
Alternatively you may simply sew the end of R1 to the beginning of R1 for a cuff bracelet that you can slide on your hand.
I hope you enjoy making these quick and easy crochet bracelets. They’re a fun way to use up scrap yarn and create something beautiful in no time. Don’t forget to experiment with different colors and fibers to make each bracelet unique.
